Artist Statement

My name is Angelina Marinelli. I am currently in my final semester at Dawson College, graduating from the Studio Arts program. I love making art, and I have loved it since I was first able to hold a pencil properly. Drawing is something that I’ve always enjoyed, and has and will continue to play a huge part in my life. My inspiration comes in waves, and I tend to gain inspiration from what I see online as well as from the world around me. Over the years I have tried a variety of different

approaches to making art, but have developed the biggest interest in painting and sketching. Of the mediums I have worked with, I am most comfortable using graphite and acrylic, but I am always open to challenging myself with new mediums. Although most of my art as of right now has not been produced to evoke a certain message or feeling, I hope to in the future incorporate more of myself and what represents me into the pieces I create.
